Job Summary
To plan, execute, and deliver accurate hydrographic survey data using advanced positioning and sonar equipment. The Hydrographic Surveyor ensures the integrity of geospatial data used for offshore construction, subsea inspections, dredging, and pipeline/cable route mapping.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide a detailed end-of-trip report summarizing operations, observations, and lessons learned.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Hydrography, Geomatics, Geophysics, Marine Science, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of offshore survey experience preferred.
Proficiency in survey software (e.g., QINSy, EIVA NaviPac/NaviEdit, Hypack, Caris).
Experience with multibeam and positioning systems (RTK, USBL, INS).
Valid offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET), medical (OGUK), and H2S certifications.
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Willingness to work offshore in rotations or extended campaigns.
Preferences
IHO Cat A or B certification (optional but preferred)
Familiarity with GIS tools (ArcGIS, Global Mapper)
